Seminar on Developments in Digital Broadcasting Technologies

Satellite World and IP Media Magazines continue their 2012 information seminars at full tilt. The fourth seminar of 2012 was held on June 27, 2012 in Antalya.

The training event on the topic ”Developments in Digital Broadcasting Technologies" was held on June 27, 2012 in Antalya at the Conference Hall of the Antalya Union of Chamber of Merchants and Craftsmen. The seminar was supported by AESOB (Antalya Union of Chamber of Merchants and Craftment), Antalya Journalists Association, Antalya Chamber of Electricians, Radio Television Repairmen and Material Dealers and local media, as well as important professional organizations of the sector such as TETESFED, RATEM, TVYD, IPTV-DER, in addition to our public institutions such as RTÜK, BTK.

There were participants from Antalya and the surrounding provinces to the Seminar on Developments in Digital Broadcasting Technologies, which was held with the participation of satellite, technology, broadcasting and integration companies in the TV broadcasting sector.

The Seminar on Developments in Digital Broadcasting attracted a lot of attention with its important guests and panels on different subjects.

The seminar was opened with the session ”Convergence Technologies".

“Mobile Communication / Cloud Platform and Cloud Technologies, WEB TV / OTT TV / HBB TV / Smart TV, Data - Audio - Image Transmission from Satellite, The Importance of Satellite Technologies in Digital Terrestrial Broadcasting, Mobile Satellite Systems and the Importance of Content” are the topics of the first panel. In the session chaired by İdris Taş from RATEM, Hüseyin Çizmecioğlu from Süper Uydu, Ahmet Eren from SES / Astra, Nejat Döğer from Türksat and Derviş Gediklioğlu from Neta informed the participants with their presentations.

”DVB-S (IF Distribution) / DVB-C (Qam Distribution) / DVB-T (Digital Terrestrial Broadcasting) / Areas of Use / Reasons for Preference / Testing and Measurement / Next-Generation Multiswitch Distribution Systems“ topics were covered under the main heading ”Headend Distribution Systems". Aydın Taşdemir on behalf of D-Smart, Ali Tabakoğlu and Selda Yılmaz on behalf of Komsis and Feyyaz Ersoy on behalf of Antes took part in the session held under the chairmanship of Süleyman Şahin, the concessionaire of Uydu Dünyası and IP Media Magazines.

In the afternoon, sessions on “Fiber Optic Distribution Systems” and “IPTV Systems” took place. Mesut Alparslan from Atıl Digital chaired these sessions.

In the third session, “What is Fiber Optic Distribution / Areas of Use / Reasons for Preference / Fiber Optic Cable / Fiber Optic Distribution Equipment / Connection / Joint / Termination / Testing and Measurement” topics were explained by Filiz Uzun from BerTelecommunication, Ömer Mehdi Velioğlu from Betasat and Nedim Pala on behalf of IPTV-DER and Protel, while in the last session “Development of IPTV in Turkey / IPTV Solutions in Municipalities, Hotels, Hospitals, Shopping Centers, Sites” topics were discussed by Musa Serdar Coşkun from TTNET, Lokman Alagöz from Türk Telekom and Ömer Mehdi Velioğlu from Betasat.

The Seminar on Developments in Digital Broadcasting Technologies, which was held in Istanbul, Ankara and Antalya in 2012, is also planned to be held in İzmir and Bursa in the near future.
